The presentation attempted to spur discussion on the Clean India Mission, the challenges faced during its implementation and the ways common citizens might participate in making it a success. The discussion and meeting was chaired by Mr U Niranjan, I.R.S., Commissioner, Central Excise &Service Tax and attended by various officers from the department. The Commissioner suggested that the housing society and office renew efforts to recycle solid waste and explore the installation of a DEWATS system for the office complex as a step towards reducing and recycling waste.
