This workshop provided an introduction to basic concepts and tools for GIS to high and secondary school teachers in collaboration with the Directorate of School Eduction, Pondicherry Govt. State Training Centre. Conducted over a period of five days, the workshop was attended by thirty school teachers from all across Pondicherry.

The workshop was a mix of lectures, field exercises and hands on computer sessions introducing various aspects of GIS.
