Description

We conducted a two-day training program on Introduction to GIS and Spatial Data Analysis using QGIS for researchers, conservationists, and grassroots workers working in the East Coast of India. The East coast is a biologically important area and FERAL has been active in this landscape for over two decades, conducting action research to address issues related to natural resource management and biodiversity conservation. This training program aimed at introducing participants to basic concepts of GIS, Spatial data, and use of GPS and GIS for data collection, visualisation, management, analysis, and mapping of local habitats, landscapes, and natural resources.
