FERAL ran a three day sesson at Shillong College as part of a two week workshop entitled "Tools for Conservation of Freshwater Ecosystems: A course to build capacity in Northeast India". The event was supported by the Ruffords Foundation and Shillong College. Over 25 persons including under and post graduate students and faculty attended the GIS component. Resource persons for the course were from the Global Water for Sustainabilty programme, Florida International University, USAID, FERAL and Assam University - Silchar. This effort was headed by Dr.Sonali Saha and Dr.Amartya Saha. R.S. Bhalla represented FERAL.
