WASH in Schools in Krishnagiri

This 3-month project was completed in December 2011. The aim of this project was to set up rainwater harvesting structures and to repair and construct toilets for a number of schools in the Krishnagiri District. Additionally, the project has undertaken awareness raising and capacity building programmes to ensure increased utilisation of WATSAN infrastructure in the project area. As part of the awarness raising programmes, FERAL conducted two 'Global Awareness Days' (as observed by the United Nations) on hygiene and sanitation.
